Leave a legacy for future generations

Writing a book is one of the most powerful ways to leave a lasting legacy. When you write a book, you have the opportunity to share your unique perspective, experiences, and insights with the world. Your words can inspire, inform, and entertain future generations, leaving a positive impact that can last for decades or even centuries.

I’ll never forget meeting with an older gentleman who attended one of my writing workshops in Lewisville, Texas. He slowly inched inside the classroom with the assistance of a medical walker, sat in the middle of the conference room, and was as quiet as a mouse the entire time. After my workshop, I walked up to him to say hello. He introduced himself and showed me a stack of papers he neatly kept inside a manilla folder. What might appear to some people as unorganized articles were invaluable experiences he encountered while serving our great country. He wanted to share his story to leave with his family, something they could have, cherish, and learn from. He also wanted to share how his faith carried him through all four death attempts. His message was one of hope, faith, and inspiration that I have no doubt will bless many lives. He celebrated his 90th birthday during our partnership. After many months of working together, he proudly held his book in his hands and celebrated his final accomplishment with his family. He passed away in 2021.

Whether you’re writing a memoir, a novel, or a self-help book, you have the power to touch the lives of countless people and make a difference in the world. So if you want to leave a lasting legacy, consider putting pen to paper and sharing your story with the world through the power of the written word.
